UDK Project - Progress 3

There is not much updates actually. I cant do heavy stuff on my computer as Im not feeling well at the moment. The only stuff that I did for the past few days was to improve the toilet bowl model. I increased the number of polygons to make it looks smoother.

UDK Project - Progress 2

Yahoooo....I completed out the texture for the bathroom. Im really proud of it because I managed to achieve what I want eventhough I lack of photoshop skills ^_^ The texture was made 100% on Adobe Photoshop and Unreal Material Editor. I did use the NVIDIA Normal Map filter to create the Normal Map for the texture.

The toilet bowl also has been coloured white but its not going to be final as I havent put the real texture on it yet.

UDK Project - Progress 1

The toilet bowl that will be used for the room bathrooms are almost done. You can see it as I tested the static mesh in the test map. I havent applied any texture to the static mesh which it is why it looks so blueish from the in-game screen below.

UDK Project - Introduction

For those who doesnt know what is happening in the indie games development world, Epic Games has just released UDK few months ago.

Epic Games, Inc. announces the launch of the Unreal Development Kit (UDK), a free edition of Unreal Engine 3 that provides community access to the award-winning toolset like never before. This software release is available to anyone interested in using 3D game engine technology, including game developers, students, hobbyists, researchers, creators of 3D visualizations and simulations, and digital filmmakers. Anyone can start working with the industry-leading Unreal Engine 3 toolset by downloading UDK at
www.udk.com, where detailed product features, technical documentation, commercial licensing terms, support resources and more are also available.

I gave it a try and finally I decided to create a small game prototype which will be the base of the game. It was my dream to create a game since awhile, which I think I can achieve it with UDK. I cant tell you much but I can briefly tell you that it is going to be a horror game.

You can check out the progress of the game as I will try to post the progress on this blog. Cya guys!
